Modify Garage Door Opener

Even a newer model chain drive unit will likely be quieter than an older model but screw drives are noticeably quieter and belt drives are the quietest of all.
Modify garage door opener. Press the learn button located on the side of the motor and hold it down. The basic process goes something like this. Unplug the existing garage door opener. Loosen the brackets securing it to the ceiling and gently lower it down.
