My Alarm Arms But The Doors Wont Lock

When i press lock on the key fob i get the standard beep then another beep about a second later and the alarm will not arm.

My alarm arms but the doors wont lock. Press and release do not press and hold. I turned it off but when i hit the lock button on the key the lights flashed the doors locked but the horn did not toot. This evening i accidently set off the panic alarm when putting the key ring in my pocket. I get the standard two beeps when unlocking.

I have to open the door and push the lock button. But each time i want to arm my car i have to push the door lock button. When i push the alarm button to disarm it unlocks and doors and is fine. What could be the sudden problem.

Shut the door and try to lock it. Have the vehicle turned off and the doors closed unlock the vehicle or disarm the alarm system by pressing unlock on your remote. The fix is easy too. If it is loose or has slipped out of the mortise place it back in the mortise and tighten the screws with a phillips screwdriver.

If it won t lock open the door. Press the unlock and the trunk buttons ii iii at the same time. In any case this does not mean your alarm isn t armed when the doors don t work it just means the actuator malfunctioned and you just lock them manually. Any alarm installer should usually have spare connecting tabs.

The connecting tab can either be tightened or replaced as needed. When i push my alarm button to lock it arms but doesnt lock the doors. I have also tried locking it from the inside door itself. I have a 1997 nissan sentra with auto locks and an aftermarket alarm and when i press the arm button my alarm arms but doesn t lock my doors the unlock button will unarm my car and unlock the doors if i lock them manually how can i fix this myself.

All the doors lock fine. Any advice would be appreciated. My alarm will not arm.
