My Asbestos Roof Is Leaking

Hi the first floor of my house has large portion of it covered by asbestos cement it has been so for a few decades now.
My asbestos roof is leaking. My garage is i believe a 1980s kit one with a corrugated asbestos roof. These fibres have broken free from the cement. Repairing your leaking asbestos roof has never been more straightforward. If there are a number of large cracks in the roof due to poor maintenance there is a slightly higher chance of exposure.
Cement sheets are one of the most commonly used roofing products that the mineral is found in and there are still a large number of buildings around the uk that have an asbestos cement sheet roof. Although most of the asbestos fibres have been bound by the cement there are a comparatively higher number of fibres released. The roof was in excellent condition for long but over the past few months there were a few incidents of tree branches falling on the roof during heavy winds causing small portions of the roof on the edges to break off. I m hoping someone can offer advice with regard to my leaking roof.
The problems with the roof sheets occur as they deteriorate with age and consequently become more brittle. The rubber gasket that surrounds the vent pipe could be rotted. I have tried the usual bitumen at joints and then an expensive paint on preparation which failed within weeks. Over the years it has become very porous.
Check plumbing vent boots and roof vents if water is entering from that area to cause the leaking roof.
